Anael Harpaz: If you want to see what an angel looks like,
take a look into the eyes of Anael. Here is a soul who epitomizes
selflessness and love. She is one of those people that creates an
air of safety simply through her presence. In the eleven years of
knowing Anael, we have learned that however traumatic an
experience may be, always there is the light that shines through
and hope becomes a reality. We have watched her give of herself
to the people without hesitation and with no other intent than to
love who and what was in front of her. Because of her, the lives of
those of us involved with the "For the One" Dance, the Israeli and
Palestinian teenagers she has nurtured, and so many more, will
never be the same.
Thank you, Anael, for being the beautiful soul that you are.

This is a picture of me handing the Dalai Lama a poem I had written him a few years previously and had the honor of reading to him and the participants at an Interfaith Retreat in Tiberius Israel.
MEETING WITH THE DALAI LAMA
The eyes of compassion entered my soul.
The hands of love touched my being.
My spirit uplifted and will never be that
which it was just a moment before.
A look so penetrating.
It left me vibrating.
Tears of joy.
The release of a lifetime!
I sit by the Jordan River.
I feel a shiver
as I see a vision.
A vision of peace on earth.
A vision of mankind.
Mankind without "religion”.
Mankind without attachment to land.
Mankind - take note -
Man...! Kind...!
Man... be kind to your self!
Be compassionate and non-judgmental.
When you love yourself,
you have found God within.
When you have found God within,
you find God in each soul that
you meet.
Then barriers can disintegrate,
walls can fall.
No longer will we need
shields of iron for protection.
God will shield us
and be our protector.
Together we can pick wild flowers
from the fields.
God’s gift of spring.
A new beginning.
We can allow peace to reign.
Let peace be our ruler.
Love and compassion our guide.
Thank you God.
